Rebekka & Jacob – A Pastel Spring Wedding at Cool Springs House

May 31, 2025

Rebekka and Jacob’s wedding day felt incredibly intentional from the very beginning. Not because every second was tightly scheduled or overly curated, but because the things they cared about most were so clear. Their people. Their moments. Their story.

Set at Cool Springs House in Brentwood with around 50 of their closest family and friends, the entire day carried this soft, joyful energy that felt deeply personal from start to finish.

Rebekka and Jacob chose to keep things traditional in the sense that they didn’t do a first look, saving that moment for the ceremony, but they created something incredibly meaningful in its place.

Before guests arrived, they shared a private vow reading while standing back to back, intentionally making sure they couldn’t see one another. It was intimate, emotional, and one of those moments that felt like time slowed down completely. Just the two of them, quietly grounding themselves before everything officially began.

The day also held so many meaningful family moments woven throughout. Rebekka made it clear from the start that while details mattered, the people mattered more. The priority was always documenting the relationships, the emotion, and the moments they’d want to hold onto years from now.

One especially meaningful detail was their ceremony arch, handmade by Rebekka’s dad. Knowing how much pride and love went into creating something so personal made it feel like more than décor. It became part of the story itself.

Their ceremony took place outside beneath that handmade arch, surrounded by soft spring light and a palette of pastels that made everything feel airy, romantic, and timeless. There was this really beautiful contrast between the traditional anticipation of not seeing each other beforehand and the emotional intimacy they had already shared privately through their vows.

When Jacob finally saw Rebekka walking toward him, you could feel the shift.

After the ceremony, we moved into family portraits and spent time intentionally documenting the people who mattered most to them. Nothing felt rushed or overly rigid, just a steady flow of hugs, laughter, and the kinds of photos that will only grow more valuable with time.

After family photos, Rebekka and Jacob took some time for just the two of them, which always ends up being one of my favorite parts of the day. The energy shifts in the sweetest way once the ceremony is over, nerves are gone, and everything starts to feel real. Their couples portraits felt soft, joyful, and incredibly natural, with so many candid little in-between moments that honestly say just as much as the posed ones.

The reception carried that same heartfelt energy into the evening. Nothing felt performative or overly formal, just deeply genuine celebration.

One of the sweetest surprises of the night came after Rebekka and Jacob’s first dance, when they surprised her parents with a first dance of their own. Because her parents had eloped and never got to have that moment themselves, it became this incredibly thoughtful and emotional gift in the middle of the reception. One of those moments where there definitely wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

As dinner gave way to dancing, the celebration shifted into something lighter and joy-filled, with guests fully leaning into the night and celebrating these two exactly as they deserved.

To close out the evening, guests lined up with ribbon wands waving in the air as Rebekka and Jacob made their exit. It felt playful, romantic, and like the perfect ending to a day that was so centered around meaning and connection.

Rebekka and Jacob’s wedding is such a beautiful reminder that some of the most impactful parts of a wedding day aren’t always the grandest ones. Sometimes it’s the quiet private vows. A handmade ceremony arch. A surprise dance for your parents.

The little things become the big things.

And this day was full of them.
