Anika and Nick Peña’s wedding was a truly unforgettable event, and I had the pleasure of capturing every moment of their special day. The day began with Anika getting ready at a charming Airbnb in Nashville. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as I captured fun photos of her with her family and friends, highlighting the beautiful details of her wedding attire.
Next, we headed to The Bridge Building Event Venue in Downtown Nashville, where the reception would later take place. This venue provided a stunning backdrop for the the first look, their private vows, and the couple’s portraits. The modern architecture and cityscape views made for some breathtaking shots. We also took the wedding party portraits here, capturing the joyful anticipation of the day ahead.
As the time for the ceremony approached, we made our way to the Christ the King Catholic Church. This beautiful building set the perfect stage for Anika and Nick’s heartfelt ceremony. The ceremony lasted about an hour, and I worked closely with her videographer and my second shooter to ensure we captured all the best angles while adhering to the rules of the Catholic Church.
After the ceremony, we returned to The Bridge Building for the cocktail hour and reception. The venue was beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere was lively and full of love. The speeches were absolutely touching, and Anika dedicated her bouquet to her mom in a heartfelt moment that left everyone emotional.
Once the dance floor opened, the celebration truly began! Anika and Nick’s family and friends were full of energy, making for some fantastic candid shots. The Hora Loca, held during the hour before the send-off, was a whirlwind of fun and excitement, with guests donning vibrant accessories and dancing with abandon.
I was hired to capture the day for 12 hours, from the ceremony to the late-night celebrations, and even as I left at 1:30 am, the party was still going strong. Anika and Nick’s wedding was a joyous celebration of love, family, and fun. It was an honor to document their special day, and I wish them all the happiness in the world as they begin their new life together.
